"Normal" isn't enough for healthy hair and scalp

Hair loss and scalp condtions arise from subtle imbalances: slightly low iron, maybe low vitamin D, poor nutrient absorption, impaired glucose handling, or hormonal disruption that isn't significant enough to be flagged in standard tests. In trichology, the focus is on the grey zones, the early drift away from optimal, long before anything becomes pathological. Conventional reference ranges are built to detect disease, not the type of inefficiencies that drive hair loss and scalp conditions.

Blood tests are used to identify subclinical patterns that impact hair follicle stability and scalp health. Most clinical trials that show meaningful hair regrowth begin by profiling blood markers to guide treatment selection or exclude unsuitable participants entirely. Testing improves accuracy, sharpens diagnosis, and gives treatment a stronger foundation for real improvement in hair and scalp health.
